Is Nibit free?01
Nibit's notebook is completely free—there's no cost to use our web app for writing, organising, searching, sharing, or syncing your notes. Plus, our free version includes a weekly allowance of each AI feature that refreshes every Monday. Need more? Go Pro for an even better experience: unlimited AI with no usage meters, and added capabilities like podcast creation and transcription of full-length lectures.
Early-adoption pricing for Pro is $12 a month or $85 a year.
Does it really work offline?02
Yes, for writing. If the connection drops while you have a page open, keep typing: your edits stay in the app and sync to your account as soon as you're back online. Keep that tab open until it has synced, since the web app doesn't store notes on your device yet.
That said, two things do need a connection: search runs on the server, and every AI feature requires a call to a model.
Which devices does it run on?03
Nibit's web version runs in just about any modern browser at app.nibit.ai, and has both desktop and mobile functionality. App versions for Mac and Windows are not released yet. That said, Nibit accounts sync between devices, so you'll be able to access all your notes from anywhere you're signed in.
Nibit is available to people in the European Union, the United States and India, and the minimum age to hold an account is 13.
Do you train AI on my notes?04
In short, no. We firmly believe the notes you write belong to you and to the people you share them with. Whether any of it trains a model is not our choice to make, and we do not think it is our right: none of the content you place in Nibit or send through our AI features is used to train Nibit's or OpenAI's models.
Nibit uses OpenAI for its AI features. Any request sent to OpenAI is processed in the United States, held for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, then deleted from their systems.
Your notes, on the other hand, stay until you delete them, and you can easily export any notebook from its menu or delete your account from settings at any time. If you want to know more about who can access or process your data, check Nibit's subprocessor list below, which names every company that can touch your data, what it sees, and where it processes it.
What can I put in, and what comes out?05
You can put practically anything into Nibit: type your notes, record a lecture, or even sketch diagrams. If you already have material you want to work from, import it directly: PDF, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, TXT, Markdown and HTML files, web pages, YouTube links, audio, and scanned PDFs—whether typed or handwritten.
From those, Nibit produces structured notes with numbered references back to your original sources, flashcard decks, quizzes across five question types (multiple choice, true or false, fill in the blanks, and short or long written answers), staged hints when you are stuck, and an interactive podcast. All of it arrives as ordinary pages of notes you can keep editing.
