How does a notes podcast work?
Pick the notes you want to hear, and Nibit writes a conversation about them between two people: a warm, curious host and a friendly expert guest. The host asks the questions you'd ask, and the expert explains your material.
You choose a voice for each from three: Marin, warm and natural; Nova, bright and conversational; and Cedar, grounded and clear. The two always use different voices, so it's easy to follow who's talking.
How long is an episode?
Nibit sets the length from the amount of material, about a minute for every 2,000 characters of notes, between 3 and 18 minutes. A single page makes a short episode; a chapter makes a longer one.
Can I ask a question during the episode?
Yes. Type it into the box under the player and send it to the show. The hosts answer it out loud straight after the part that's playing, then pick up where they left off. Questions that have nothing to do with the episode are politely declined.
Can I listen on the go?
Yes. Download the whole episode as a single MP3. In the app you can play at anything from half speed to double speed, and your place is saved, so you can stop on your laptop and carry on from another device.
How much does it cost?
| Free | Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Podcast episodes | Not included | Unlimited |
| Price | $0 | $12 a month or $85 a year |
Questions asked during an episode use your questions allowance. Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax, except in the EU, where Pro is $15 a month or $105 a year including VAT. The full plans table is on the home page.
What it doesn't do
- You can't set the length. It follows the amount of material you choose.
- Questions are typed, not spoken. And questions asked after you download an episode aren't in the MP3.
- Episodes can't be shared. Each podcast is for the person who made it.
- It's Pro only. The free plan doesn't include podcasts.
Questions people ask
Are my notes used to train AI?
No. Nothing you put in Nibit or send through its AI features is used to train Nibit's or OpenAI's models. OpenAI processes requests in the United States and deletes them after up to 30 days. The Privacy Policy has the details.
When is a podcast most useful?
For going over material you've already studied: on the commute, on a walk, or the morning of an exam. The guide to revising on the go has tips for getting the most out of it.
Does the study planner use podcasts?
Yes. A session in a study plan can make a short audio recap of what it covered.
Is this like NotebookLM's audio overviews?
It's the same idea, two voices discussing your material, built into the notebook where your notes already are, with questions answered mid-episode. See Nibit vs NotebookLM for the full comparison.
