Can AI make a quiz from my notes or a PDF?
Yes. Pick any mix of notebooks, chapters and pages, and add files or links if you like: PDF, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, TXT, Markdown, HTML, audio, a website or a YouTube video. Add a syllabus to keep the questions on the topics it lists. If your material has figures in it, a question can show the diagram it's asking about.
You choose:
- How many questions, from 1 to 50.
- Difficulty: easy, medium, hard or mixed.
- Question types: one type, a mix, or a custom split, such as six multiple choice and four short answers.
- When to see answers: after every question, every 5, every 10, or all at the end.
- A time limit, if you want one, from 1 minute to 8 hours. When time runs out, the quiz submits itself.
What kinds of questions can it ask?
| Type | How it's marked |
|---|---|
| Multiple choice | Instantly, four options, shuffled |
| True or false | Instantly |
| Fill in the blanks | Instantly, and AI grading takes a second look when your wording differs from the answer |
| Short answer | By you, or by AI when you ask |
| Long answer | By you, or by AI when you ask |
How are written answers marked?
On the results screen, mark each written answer yourself with "I was right" or "I was wrong", or press "Grade with AI". AI grading compares your answer with the reference answer and the key points it should cover, and gives a score with partial credit: correct, mostly correct, partially correct, minimally correct or incorrect, with one line of feedback. You can override any grade.
Stuck on what a good answer looks like? "Create ideal answer" writes a model answer for any written question. AI grading and ideal answers don't count against the free allowance.
What do I see at the end?
Your score, a list of weak areas to review, and every question with your answer, the correct answer, any feedback and explanation, and the source it came from. The weak areas are the topics where you scored below three quarters.
Those topics also feed your account-wide weak areas, alongside the cards you miss on flashcards, so you can turn them into a new deck or focus your next study plan on them.
Can I retake a quiz?
Yes. A retake uses the same questions, so you can see whether you've improved, and every attempt is kept. If you stop halfway, your answers and any remaining time are saved, and you can pick up where you left off.
How much does it cost?
| Free | Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| New quizzes | 1 a week | Unlimited |
| Retakes | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| AI grading and ideal answers | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Price | $0 | $12 a month or $85 a year |
Free limits reset every Monday. Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax, except in the EU, where Pro is $15 a month or $105 a year including VAT. The full plans table is on the home page.
What it doesn't do
- You can't edit questions. A quiz is saved as it was written. If a question isn't right, generate a new quiz.
- Written answers aren't marked automatically. You choose to self-mark or ask for AI grading on the results screen.
- Sources are labels, not links. Each question names the page or file it came from, but doesn't open it.
- It needs a connection to generate. Writing a quiz calls a model, so you need to be online.
Questions people ask
Are my notes used to train AI?
No. Nothing you put in Nibit or send through its AI features is used to train Nibit's or OpenAI's models. OpenAI processes requests in the United States and deletes them after up to 30 days. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Can I make a quiz from a whole notebook?
Yes, or from several notebooks, chapters, pages and files at once.
Can I time myself like a real exam?
Yes. Set a time limit when you make the quiz and it counts down while you work, then submits when time is up.
Does the study planner use quizzes?
Yes. A study plan starts with an optional diagnostic quiz to find your weak topics, ends each session with a short check, and finishes with a mock exam.
What if I'm stuck on a problem rather than a quiz?
Use Intuition. Paste the problem or a photo of it, and Nibit walks you through it in up to six stages, from the idea behind it to the key step, with the full answer always one click away. Each stage uses one of the five weekly questions on the free plan.
